The Forest Poem by Christopher Nicoll

The Forest

The smell of dawn, that crisp clean feeling
Waking life, beginning, breathing

The dewdrop rolls from fern and tree
Bringing life to all that's green

Dawn on green, an effervescent glowing
The birds awaken, call the morning's singing

The mist melts like a ghostly cloud
Revealing the birds now singing loud

I breath deep in the moment
Feeling content, happy and fulfilment

I turn now and walk away
Knowing that was the best part of my day

Just beautiful. So serene and yet invigorating. The forest is always a vibrant place of sights and sounds. Enjoyed.
