The Fog Has Lifted For Now Poem by Shalom Freedman

The Fog Has Lifted For Now

THE FOG HAS LIFTED FOR NOW
|
The fog has lifted for now
Who knows why?
Perhaps it was the day of walking
The helping of my daughter's family
Perhaps it was the five hours' sleep
I don't know why exactly
I don't really understand
The fog has lifted for now
And the same negative thoughts
And outlining of only bad and terrible possibilities
Do not return the despair I had then
The fog has lifted for now
Thank G-d
And hopefully there will be happier days ahead.
