The Flower On Your Wall Poem by Katherine de Castro

The Flower On Your Wall

I’ve never been one to stand out in a crowd,
I’m the one they pass by, with a smile, nonchalant,
I watch from afar, the bustling world,
And silently muse, in a space, my own.

I have thoughts to share, like you,
But I have yet to find the person to listen,
I have plans and dreams, as you do,
Without the means to fulfill them.

I’m so drawn to your kindness,
Your personality attracts my inner soul,
I’m a wallflower, but I feel inside,
A burning potential to bud and bloom into
Something wonderful.

Yes, even a wallflower can transform,
For you, I could open my petals and glow,
And, if a wallflower I must remain,
Just let me be the flower on your wall.
