The Flower Poem by Lonnie Hicks

The Flower

We shall not ever
again, then or now
hold each other
rather we
languish
between the touch
and

the Anguishing's
Sweet Destinations
entwined in
our sweet
longings
for the consumation.

Love can sour
but Embrace's Longings
are everlasting.

Forever interstitial
is your
kissing me
your almost
touching me there
our hesitant breathings
planting
ourselves
on the
Grecian Urn
pledged
Forever's Yearnings
crushed
in our Needings
Surging Feelings
we two
seeded
that which
yields
the
Flower

its
Seeds
all within the
Yearning
Which
Devours.
