The Flaws We Are Born With Poem by Francis Duggan

The Flaws We Are Born With

The weaknesses I see in others in myself I do see
When I look at them I am looking at me
And like billions of others in the World of today
I too am judgemental in my own small way
Your own self is the person you never will know
The flaws we are born with we never outgrow
Perfection in humanity is as rare as hen's teeth
The perfect one is one I yet have to meet
Our egos are inflated by our self conceit
And for success with each other we always do compete
Stories of our successes with others we do love to share
The humble quiet achiever has always been rare
'Tis a fact of life and facts never lie
That the flaws we are born with are with us 'til we die.
