The First Flight Poem by michael hagwood

The First Flight

The young bird hops from leg to leg to the nest edge

it looks ahead and takes a leap. It flaps its wings strong

and fast. Soon the bird is soaring high above the ground. Soon

it lands back in the nest. Soon will come the day when the bird

take a flight and well leave it's nest and live on his own.
