The Fire Poem by Parameswaran Nair Damodaran Nair

The Fire

Rating: 5.0

Breaking the clutches of modalities
lusty fire blazes up
flashing out flames.
The charming hot glare kindles
the repressed passion of moths.
Poor things! They fly in
to satisfy their urge.
But their wings get burned
and fall right into the fire down
Making it their pyre.

moth on the fire! quite imagery, this poem, I think, ironical and allegorical about life!

A wonderful poem imbued with wisdom and insight. Sometimes our desires and wants in life lure us into nothingness. Wonderfully crafted with superb imagery.
