The finger of God
moved stretched
out across the water
took the reactors
at Fukushima Dai-ichi

a Japanese nuclear
power plant opened
reactors like peas
in a ripe ready pod
popped each reactor
one by one burst

radiation spreading
across victim near land
out across near sea
major meltdown
massive radiation
xenon radioisotopes

is going global fast
Three Mile Island
Pennsylvania USA
Chernobyl Ukraine
former Soviet Russia
spectres nightmares
disasters past haunt.
