The Finale Poem by Mark Nichols

The Finale

You are everything
I ever imagined
On the outside of myself
Collected
Collected into madness now
I can see clearly
The curtain is lifted high
The backstage teamsters pulling wires
Have all been exposed
The smiling spirits all around
What has always been with me
Cannot be taken
Cannot be taken from me
My love of life
Can't be taken from me
My love of life!
