The Final Day Poem by Martine Kolber

The Final Day

Stealing the smile from her face
You know you’ve fallen from grace
Isolation of the lost won’t make it right
Because the guilt of life holds you tight

The time you’ve got left to do
What it takes to make you
Pay back all the evil you’ve done
To those you love, and you still carry on,

Is running away without stop
To earn forgiveness you need to cope
With your entire life, but you won’t do
So be prepared for the final day inside of you
