The Feather Of My Soul

Baby, before I found you I was a puzzle broke
trying to survive my hope
in this cruel world
I had God and a smile
and a whisper suicide
but without you I don't know how
I could've survived this far in life
when I was little the white figures
would follow in the trees
and now I know they were angels
watching out for me
but for some reason I don't see them
maybe I grew up
or maybe your my angel
Baby, and my love
Baby, I'd take your place any day
I'd die so you could survive another day
but I know you want me here
fighting to get them saved
because I have a purpose
to love and make a difference
and you've shown me another world and family
I'll fight for while I have breath
until I float away,
Oh Baby, that's my goal
so keep me soft and sweet;
the feather of my soul.

poet William Butler Yeats

WINE comes in at the mouth
And love comes in at the eye;
That's all we shall know for truth
Before we grow old and die.
I lift the glass to my mouth,
