The Faithful Mullein, Day By Day Poem by Philip Henry Savage

The Faithful Mullein, Day By Day

The faithful mullein, day by day,
Is up and out beside the way,
Or on the upland pasture blows
Beside the rockrose and the rose.

Would heaven had granted me a grace
One half so perfect as thy face,
Compounded of so pure a metal
As thy five-foliate golden petal.
