The Faithful Daffodil Poem by patricia Northall

The Faithful Daffodil

Rating: 5.0

Early morning, spirits soaring
To see your promise of Spring.
Daylight dawning, showing
Green shoots that soon, very soon
Your golden, delicate beauty on
Slender stems will fill my soul
With hope. You are a constant
Reminder of nature, and her faithful
Return from year to year without
Care or nurture from me, I see
My beloved Golden Daffodil.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Inspiration came to me when walking round my garden early morning beginning of February, and one of my daffodils had flowered, it gave a welcome promise of Spring, and is always the first flower to arrive, and I never have to do anything to ensure it arrives year after year, a faithful reminder of Spring.
