The Fairy Queen Poem by Joyce Hemsley

The Fairy Queen

On lawn of green with floral borders
Hid little Elf, with twinkling eye.
Whilst 'Tangerine' the fairy queen
Sang to him ~ Brahm's Lullaby.

Came then, another fairy singing
To tempt the elf, way down she flew.
Calling him her elfin darling...
She stayed until the morning dew.

But Tangerine returned at midday
For little elf was cute and shy
His love was hers alone forever,
As she sang to him Brahm's Lullaby.
