The Face Poem by Steve Howard

The Face

Rating: 3.8

I went into the meadow,
to seek the face of God.
And in the quiet of the morning,
saw the face I've always known.
I went upon the city streets,
to seek the face of God.
And there among the teeming throng,
saw the face I've always known.
I went into my heart of hearts,
to seek the face of God.
And saw the face I once denied,
yet the face I've always known.
