The Face Poem by Kateryna Polishchuk

The Face

I see the face which follows me at night.
It tries to say the message to be heard,
It goes through our thoughts, is dark and light
And now belongs to someone who was fright…
But that face comes to say to me a word.

It has the eyes I`ve never seen before.
They`re like two stars of lonely lacy sky.
They talk to me about souls gore,
Mistakes and wisdom come just to the fore,
And make my spirit in my fancy fly.

The face tries me to teach my mind to act,
But I shut all the doors for being free.
It tries to overcome my soul in fact
And sign with my heart its unusual pact.
That`s why today I`m standing on my knee.

My thoughts pronounce the sound after sound
While telling you ‘Just look up to your past,
It is your way, of further future ground.
Because on you depends the way you`ve found'.
You may don`t listen or your spirit trust.

I see the face which follows me at night
With messages and feelings of my heart.
Its energy for me is always bright,
It makes me feel myself confused or tight
But also makes a new illusion start.
