The Eyes (Ayes) Have It Poem by Patricia Grantham

The Eyes (Ayes) Have It

Rating: 5.0

The eyes are the windows of the very soul
Hiding tales of the many stories untold
Can tell if someone is maybe happy or sad
When a person is feeling either good or bad

Will gaze at a bright and star filled night
Looks at the rising sun with pure delight
Watches the ocean and ebbing of the tide
Adoring a loved one sitting by your side

In all shades of color just like the rainbow
Created to behold all things just as we know
Can casts caring glances at a playing child
Gazing at them lovingly with a sweet smile

Seen many houses and buildings quickly leveled
Stared at many places that was quite disheveled
Seeking for human remains in a city ravaged by war
Searching for precious life in a badly burnt car

Yet there is still hope for all of our eyes to see
A flag that's flown and stands for all that are free
Still longing to see a world full of love and peace
The eyes(ayes) will have it never wanting to cease

A lovely poem expressing how an eye sees the world with so many dreams and fear. An eye always look for a life, a life seing the sun to be rising with all hopes to live a peaceful life. Very inspiring poem in deed.
