The Eyelids Of A Blind Man Poem by kennedy musyoka

The Eyelids Of A Blind Man

tears fall off the eyes of a
blindman,
what did he see to cause such grief?
I feel like iv got eyes that sees not but weeps much,
eyelids of a blindman,
cover those eyes that stare straight into the unknown,
the orientation is right the eyes
have opened up but light they see not,
blinking to keep off dust,
feel the breeze when it comes, But they still remain; the eyelids
of a blindman,
Distant they know not,
depth they see not-for they are eyes,
eyes of a blindman,
I fear not the dark for thats all iv known,
i fear more the light for i know not,
I wanna see but dread the
unknown,
they will still be in use when i see for they are; the eyelids
of a blindman,
in the rains they close up,
in the wind they dont stay up, they cover these eyes,
the eyes that fear
not,
the eyes that see not,
tears,
fears,
i remain to u the
eyelids of a blindman..
