This is a remarkable sonnet. Although the subject is tragic, the writing of it is assured, focused, deep, with no trace of false feeling. You did not let anything mar our impression of this young woman, she is a victim and deserves complete sympathy. The line WHEN YOU DISAPPEARED THE SUN WAS BLOTTED OUT cut me to the quick, and then the despair of NO TRACE REMAINS OF THE FLOWER THAT YOU WERE. This is the kind of poem that opens hearts. I guess we all start as lovers of life,
it comes and it goes and the wheel
    of sadness keeps rolling.
    This place is about suffering
    creation will always be karmic
    and the wheel keeps rolling...

nice write, as always! ! ! (Report) Reply
