The 'Enlightened' Club Poem by Chuy Amante

The 'Enlightened' Club

Rating: 5.0

What happens to a soul who is 'Illuminated'?
Anger, sadness, fear, pride completely abated

When such energies exit, a vacuum is created
What now enters and fills until elated?

Love, Kindness, Happiness, Compassion
A whole new style and whole new fashion

If this is what takes over the being
why not now, all this, you and me-ing

Today let's all live these qualities
No prob, no stress, if we fall, at ease

Start each day as a flower unfolding
Opening up reaching out
giving love, compassion, kindness,
the nectar of Being now Bestowing!

If an Enlightened soul
becomes Compassion, All LOVE!
There's nothing to stop us
from joining that club!

The message is powerful but the essence is lost because of your focus on wanting it to rhyme thus forcing the rhymes. a poem does not have to rhyme, infact some of the best poems do not rhyme. This can be a very powerful and positive poem perhaps you can review it. You just need it to flow with a chosen meter. I look forward to reading more of your poems.
