The Endless Sadness Poem by sarah honey

The Endless Sadness

The parents walked proud,
The parents stood tall.
Such high hopes,
For a small little girl.

The pride of a father,
The pride of a mother,
Shattered like glass,
Cause the life of another.

Mornings of heartache,
Nights filled with tears,
What went wrong?
Is the questioning song.

Night after night,
Day after day,
Tensioning shoulders,
Weighing like boulders.

The burden of worry,
And a Daughter saying sorry,
Next time around,
I'll sure make you proud.

Living in shadows,
Clutched in its grip.
Smothered by net,
Expectations not met.

The endless sadness,
Of one bring to all.
Destructing the love,
A family torn.
