The End Of Summer. Poem by lilly mandrell

The End Of Summer.

Rating: 2.7

Golden Yellow leaves
Fall from the tree outside.
They mark the end of summer.
The end of a dream.

Just like the way my heart fell,
The leaves fall from the trees.
The end of a time of happiness,
And mark the beginning of ends.

Browning leaves on the ground
They remind me to move on,
Forget the past; To hope for the future
A future that does not involve you.

The end of summer
Brings the end of love along.
The beginning of fall
Brings time alone for me to think.

Six months of hot weather
And strong feelings for you pass.
Six moths of cold weather
And knowing I need to forget comes.
