The Easter Bunny Poem by Richard Netherland Cook

The Easter Bunny

I dreamed I saw the Easter Bunny,
Hopping along the trail,
He was white, had floppy ears,
And a little bunny tail.

He was running back and forth,
Hiding lots of colored eggs,
Here and there and everywhere,
Hopping around on two hind legs.

He comes around at Easter time,
To hide his egg filled treats,
So all the girls and boys,
Will have lots of tasty eats.

When his job of hiding is complete,
And he has an empty pail,
He scampers back into the forest,
Along the bunny trail.

Remember all you girls and boys,
And never shed a tear,
His pail will be filled with new eggs,
When he returns next year.
