The early bird that caught the worm,
Lost his tail to the neighbor's cat.
Who in turn ran into a dog named storm,
Who mauled him bad and left him flat.
And as the pooch sauntered away,
Proud of himself as he could be.
The city dog catcher caught himself a stray,
While the early bird, watched from his tree.
