The Dummy And The Beauty Poem by Abdulrasheed Dawodu

The Dummy And The Beauty

Touch of pink
Shade of blue
Painted lips
Coloured brows
Artistically sculptured

Attached nails
Smelly hair
Brightened skin
Ragged rob
Revealed cleavage
An effigy in display

A feed to the weak eyes
A shame to the strong minds
A disgrace to woman-kind
Satan's pawns
But Just for the clowns

Enchanted to her, quietly
Natural simplicity
Far from a dummy
Closest to modesty
The real beauty

Her flowing gown
Her priceless smile
Well cultured
Humbly nurtured
Half of my deen
Mother of my kids

I love the beauty
I despise the dummy
