The Door Opens Poem by Rcd Bck

The Door Opens

Rating: 5.0

The door opens again
gray light illuminates little
The liquid stream of men
violent spittle
A cigarette
fire begins smoke
I feel it
this theater I'm in is a joke
Two copper pennies make two cents
my pallbearers my friends
This ragged spectacle makes no sense
a ravaged and unholy den
The nicotine fingers
the cold coffee
This play lingers on
indefinitely
