The Dog Poem by Jaycob Hardie

The Dog

Rating: 5.0

Smiling men beckoning you to buy their produce
Children running around on eroded paths
Wearing nothing on their feet.

A stray dog run out into the crowd of people amidst the confusion
The hound leaps out into the road
A white and weathered van whizzes past.

The dog gallivants around the noise
Not searching for anything
Just exploring.

The dog enters a quieter part of the city
People walk briskly
Huge shopping bags clenched in their hands.

He paces around a corner
And he's gone.
