The Dinner Party Poem by Devanshi Khetarpal

The Dinner Party

Entered waves and greetings vile
As thee trod upon the aisle
And muttered profane in thy mind
As thee got ready for chop and grind.
The marble bound in soil lay
And ghastly pictures came thy way.
And as thee occupied thy seat,
Thee found it to be scarcely neat.
The tissue covered with booger new
And earwax and stinky spew.
Thee saw the glass amply impure,
Foul and wicked and past cure.
As thee gobbled up thy plate inside
Thy stomach went on a jerky ride.
And as thee ran to the chamber pot,
Thee saw the dog licking the lot.
Thus thee ran from filth and dirt,
And leashed thy unholy curt.
And reached the table in right time,
To hear tedious gossip and untuned rhyme.
And as thee was served with water grey,
Thee dearly wanted to put it away.
And as thee reached thy forlorn car,
Thee wanted to escape afar.
So came an end to the dinner party,
And the journey home went wet and farty.
