The Devils' Rise Poem by Ryan Tosh

The Devils' Rise

Rating: 5.0

With wings as black as night
I pray thee hear my plight.
The songs are sung,
The devil's tongue

Heard Laughing through the night,
At this bloody sight.
Burned into my eyes
I hope for his demise.

The devil! The devil!
Has risen to ground level.
His demons are killing all they see
Drowning out the warnings of the banshee

He sets fires where he walks.
Things explode while he talks.
With his black staff in hand
All kneel to his command.

But to his unknowing
His plan will be slowing.
For another devil has broken its chains,
And planned its own powerful reign.

With wings as white as snow
I pray thee hear of my sorrow.
The songs are sung,
The devil's tongue,

Heard laughing through the night,
At this dark sight.
Burned into my eyes
I hope for her demise.

The devil! The devil!
Has risen to ground level.
Her demons are killing all they see,
Drowning out the warnings of the banshee.

She leaves ice in her wake.
When She talks the earth quakes.
With her white staff in hand
All kneel to her command.
But to her unknowing
Her plan will be slowing.
For another devil has broken its chains,
And planned its own powerful reign.

So I ask you
With wings as black as night
And you
With wings as white as snow

To bring all your power and might,
And right these devils' fight,
To end these devils' lives,
Before a fiery and icy death arrives.
