The Depths Of Wells Poem by Melissa Hennessy

The Depths Of Wells

In your light I felt sincere, my dear
To change who I was and make it better
Though I fell in the deepest wells of the world
I'd always have you

And in the depths of my dreams, it seems
You were where I belonged
Within the constant change of inner cities
I'd always have you

Laced with flowers this chilling power is getting old
And I'd never want this to decay
Change in direction, your leading me along
I'd always have you

In the presence I bring redemption
The world is just begging for it
On the hills I'll write out your name
I'd always have you

To have always, is what we all want. Someone to look after, and to look after us. These words are very beautiful, romantic, emotional, and surreal. Thank you for sharing. Barbara
