The ways that made you brave
But life goes on and so does the song
That dances you to the grave

Subterfuge or sacrifice
Idle hands and the wounds of Christ
Bless my bones
Sanctify my suffering

Its taken far too long
And every life I made
Has broken up and gone
Down the river into the shade
...

And I feel I've nothing to say
Nothing is holding me back
The world has turned off its lights
The scenery welcomes the fade to black
...

A god is just a devil
Who has won his final battle
As history is written by winners
And the rest are seen as cattle
...

I would like to take you
Back in time
To a town
Where the reason was mine
...

Came off the highway
Went into the dust
It was hot
No one was looking for us
