The Deep Blue Poem by Kay Wierba

The Deep Blue

Sand cold to the touch and soft on my feet
The sea whispers in my ears a lullaby
The waves gently crushing fill the air with drops of inspiration
The deep blue calls my name

I watch the sun as it baths in the depths
Changing its colours like leaves in autumn
Golden stars on a bed of water
The moon smiles down as it watches me from above
The deep blue calls my name

The salt on my lips tingles and burns
The water covers me so warm and caressing
My body flouting free and liberated
My soul unshackled from its mortal cage
The deep blue calls my name
