The Death Of Our Friendship Poem by Taylor Rease

The Death Of Our Friendship

This is the bitter end
of another friendship
gone awry;
a friendship that never
was meant to bring
two people together
and have them
depend on one another.

Join me for the funeral
as we watch our memories
be buried in the dirt
with the worms and bugs
who will eat
every last memory,
never to be recalled again.

This is the death
of our friendship.
May it rest in peace
and be forgotten
like all those other ones
you have buried
along with ours.
