The Death Of Mr Universe Poem by Raj Dronamraju

The Death Of Mr Universe

Old Mr. Steak and Potatoes
Spanning the globe or never leaving the comfort of his living room
The living organisms under his feet
Snap their fingers and say
"Hey, why didn't I think of that? "

Eviction notice posted in full view
Interrupting hot buttered self-love sessions
Mastodon is too big and slow to escape the glacier
The voices of children sing in unison;
"I WANNA BE YOUR ICE AGE"
