The Death Of Death Poem by Vadakkumpurath Ramesan

The Death Of Death

The earth gazed
At the horizon with deep desire
To locate the rain clouds
With the throat dried up!
The earth lay helpless
With its veins without blood
To turn it milk
To suckle its babes!
The sad earth found
The tired bird on the tree
That dried up finally
In its desperate looks
Into the earths chest
With its roots to find
A dropp of water to survive!

The falcon seated
On the other dried up branch
Of the tree get readied
To celebrate the days to come
With the lives turning into corpses!
The falcon never guess
That he will be turned
Into a corpse
As he empty all the corpses!
But the mother earth
Smelled the death
That nearing the falcon's eyes
To nest and spread
The falcon's body in its turn
The mother earth wept
As she brood over
That the death will die
Without a prey to mitigate
It's own burning hunger!
