The Dead Body Poem by ramesh rai

The Dead Body

Rating: 5.0

I saw a dead body
of an insect
lying on my floor

i left it aside
i saw so many ants
gathered
as if they came
for a condolence
but none of the same species
came on this condolence meeting
i felt this is also the act of god
i kept it aside in the corner
out of my room

on my way i saw the dead body of a frog
lying by the side of the street
i think fate of the dead body
what to do

i was helpless, but is it so?
this world is so selfish.

Poignant poem indeed, we do not know how to react to this when it comes to insects and other creature. Thought provoking poem.10

Hmmm much food for thought put forth here Ramesh, this inevitable viewing of the reality of life speaks volumes on the upper level of humanity. It's a lesson learned, yes a great message indeed. Thank you again Ramesh.....

You have defined something called harsh truth never so easily comprehensible before....thanks for sharing this one..the insect must have been normally a cockroach there and yes no roaches come for funeral party..they smell and go..so goes for another species of animals also..the christian world is so..there is not much humanity i have observed though the religion does not preaches it.Its all then how much treasure, fortune one is leaving, how much insurance for better life prospects to usher in a showy respect or admiration
