The Day I Met You Poem by John Johns

The Day I Met You

Rating: 5.0

Crimson waves of mellow retrospect

Serene Glistening in thoughtful eyes

Stream Somberly with hidden neglect

Masking only inevitable clouded skies

Frigid lips, brought only by secret suspect

Conjured by the hearts quilted lies

Question upon question leads to a wreck

Like why again, after a million tries

Wrong decision, easy to detect

Leading to our eternal goodbyes

As the last remnants of us fade from my neck

A part of me dies

Walk away I'll do my best to let you

Unwillingly never forget you

I wish I could just erase the day I met you
