The Day I Died Poem by Scott McQueen

The Day I Died

I saw the day I died
It wasn't very sad
I walking in the street
I think That I was mad

Rain fell down on me
Soaking my brown hair
A light then broke the darkness
Too quick to make me scared

The last thing I remember
The last thing that I know
Was thinking of how sad I was
How could I die alone

So much life left in me
A fire burning bright
Put out in the darkness
Upon a rainy night

But here I am alive
I now have the key
I've broken from my fate
And unlocked destiny
