The Day I Died Poem by Leaking Pen

The Day I Died

Am I too serious a poet?
To smoke pot or not to...
That is my latest question
From my poetic intention
Once in a while I should let go...
Of my imaginary foe
How can I avoid rhyming?
When my heart is still timing
Some days are wasted on split milk
While others on sorrow booze drink.
If I can loosen up a bit,
And let go of all of it…
I can say I enjoyed partying
& danced my life away by not arguing
And the day I died
Was my real joyful ride
When I made my dust fly!
Above the April sky.
