The Dawn Of Youth Poem by Munia Khan

The Dawn Of Youth

Allow me to hear

The ticking of watches

As of my heart

The watches of destiny

With the chains

Of our surmised lives

Need not to fear

The fatal silence

Of this youthful impulse

Allow me to pace

The steps of my own walk

To shorten the length of my dreams

The dreams of illusion

From the edge

Of an unknown reality

Need not to trace

The disinherited love

From the incurable past

For the time

Never imprecates

When the dawn of youth

Is the survival of vale of years.

Written on the afternoon of the 13th of July,2010.
