'The Darkest Peace' Poem by L.C. Morgan

'The Darkest Peace'

Running out of daylight,
I’m finally regaining sight
When the night falls I will be free
Because only at night I love me

By day I cannot bare
For me I do not care
Come Night, come Darkness, bring Peace
Will you make the fire cease?

I am dead
I have said
I will always love you
So much as I do

Please don’t forget me
Just because I set myself free.
