The Cycle Of Rejection Poem by Lora Seger

The Cycle Of Rejection

Sadness filled her tear stained expression;
The ache she felt inside, she could not hide.
So cruel a mistress, the love she felt inside,
For a man who shunned her hope filled eyes.

The girl, now bitter with time,
Never loved again,
Never had the time.
Anger was the master of her mind.

The girl, now a woman,
Was so cold, so heartless,
Even the man who loved her now
Couldn't expel it.

A man she labored next to,
Day by day, could see the beauty of
The once innocent girl.

Time came to now,
Where his love he confessed.
Only for the once loving,
Now cold woman to push rejection upon him.

Lo and behold this man,
With sadness filling his tear stained expression,
The ache he felt inside, he didn't think anyone could match
Such a cruel mistress, his love became.

The cycle of rejection.

Liked this poem... It seems that when some people are hurt by another male or female, they then think that ever other will do the same. I hate 'The French', 'Lesbians', 'Gays' etc...etc..etc... Let us all thank God they are not like that in Poemhunter... Colin J...
