The Curse Poem by Alex Fischer

The Curse

I am a dark prince
Everywhere I go death and despair follows me

The blood on the hands of my ancestors covers me and engulfs me
Though it is invisible I feel it seeping into my skin
Dripping down my face, arms, and legs
Flowing through my veins, spewing out my eyes and mouth
All around me

The curse they have endured follows me everywhere I go
I cannot get rid of it, it will not falter
Why try for something when I know it is impossible?
This curse that surrounds me, controls me, moves me
This curse that hears me, feels me, kills me
I fear I maybe dying from this curse
And the only antidote is unreachable
