The Crucible - Poem by Dilantha Gunawardana

There is a crucible
In each and every man
Sculpted by celestial clay
On which rests
A tempestuous concoction
Of uninhibited passion

And below
The clay crucible
Lies a flickering flame
In neon blue
Burning of inborn desire

And all around is the air supply
That sustains
The glow of desire
And the heat of passion
