The Crack Of Dawn

Rating: 5.0

THE CRACK OF DAWN

Upon the rail I leaned, early one morn,
The blackness was complete
The wind was fresh and in my face
The rolling deck beneath my feet.
Rolling down to Rio carving the southern sea
And there was nowhere on God`s earth
That rather I would be
The salty air my nostrils filled
Clearing my sleep filled head
When suddenly the darkness pierced
By the finest golden thread,
As I watched the the thread it grew
A line twix heaven and earth was sawn
It was then and only then I knew
This was the crack of dawn.
