The Conductor (To Mr. Stephen Brasure) Poem by Nicole GravellPellerino

The Conductor (To Mr. Stephen Brasure)

Rating: 0.5

The audience is gone
the applause have stopped
and the instruments are put away
the band is on stage
their conductor is retiring today

He led them through the good and bad
they made him so proud
each time they preformed
but now the year is over
and the concerts have all gone by
his time as their conductor is done

The bands will continue on
performing as they do
although other will come
there will always be a void in these halls
he is irreplaceable in their eyes

Today when the stage is empty
and the band has met their final test
and everything is put away
one amazing man one amazing conductor
can always feel certain
he will be remembered as simply the best
