The Collector Poem by Agatha Eliza

The Collector

These silent and bitter tears fall unseen
forming a net, keeping the world
in its tightness
burning, giving birth to storms..
Can you see the tears in a mother's eyes
when she's told she's not strong enough
to handle a 'real' job?
Can you see the tears in a father's eyes
when what he earns is never enough
to feed his hungry child?

Stranger..But who are you to judge, to know
Their pain is like those dark clouds
that cradle the thunders over your head,
lifting up in the sultry air -
can also be told by the deep lines
carved in their harsh, hard-worked palms
or the cheeks scarred by their
uncessant tears, which dried up in vain,
forever in a quest for hope, justice
fairness and equality?

About your words (below) : should you add them in your bio, I could have them published in the ebook.. what do you think? '' The concept of a poetry book pointing out all sorts of inequalities is such a brilliant idea. I kept thinking about it, and I've been seriously taken into into further considerations since I received the message from you concerning Oxfam and their activity. I read some articles on their site, and I was shocked to see this 'unseen face of the world' they are revealing. It felt incredible, nightmarish and unreal. So many people are thrown in such poverty and degradation on one hand, and that handful of people who bask in their wealth and yet do not bother to do anything to help, on the other. This contrast is so staggering. I realised that we're placed in such situations daily, and it happens so often that we become immune to it, and we ignore it, as 'that's the way of the world, and we have to move on'. Things should't be like this. I believe it is an experience most people go through..but putting this into words, creating new meanings, raising a flag and delivering a message is the most important factor. ''

I think it's a good idea, and would also shed a light on the content of the ebook. I'm adding it to the bio. Thank you so much!
