The Clown Poem by Emmanuel George Cefai

The Clown

The clown in the circus
He leaps
And they laugh

His nose red
And joyful
Bouncing legs
And attire

Yet inside
Weeps
Weeps
All his life
His total solitude
Despite
The laughs
The claps of the crowd
He weeps
He weeps
Inside
Inside the heart
Inside the curtains
Entering from show
