The Clock Ticking Away Poem by Tim Vallie

The Clock Ticking Away

Every moment that passes
Every tick of the damnable clock
Brings me over closer to the madness
Every tick, tock, tick, tock
Every sound seems to surround
Every sound from ticking fiend
Every tick like hammer pound
Each tock like dying scream
Every second a new torment
Each sound a brand new pain
Each and every passing moment
The clock invades my brain

Tick, tock, tick, tock
My life slowly slips by
Tick, tock, tick, tock
The clock has stole my eyes
Tick, tock, tick, tock
I cannot look away
Tick, tock, tick, tock
As night turns back to day
Tick, tock, tick tock

The sound sticks in my soul
Every tick of that damnable clock
Takes away all my control
Tick, tock, tick, tock
