The Celtic Trinity Poem by Daniel McDonagh

The Celtic Trinity

The Celtic Cross
The old Celtic Cross adorned the breast
Of the men who wore Celtic’s first strip,
This Christian symbol representing a halo from Christ
Guided Celtic to victory on the pitch.

The Four Leaf Clover
The three leaf clover represents the Holy Trinity
Of Father, Son and Holy Spirit,
The fourth leaf on a shamrock represents God’s Grace
That shines with glory down Parkhead’s way.

The Irish Tricolour
The Irish Tricolour flies high over Celtic Park
In memory of Celtic’s founding fathers,
And it soars with our emerald soul
When we sing of Ireland and her sons & daughters.
